Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
Walk of Treats ("we", "us") is a dog-walking app currently in development. This website exists to tell you about the app and to let you join our launch waitlist. This policy explains, in plain English, what data we collect here and how we look after it.
What we collect
Your email address — and only if you choose to type it into the waitlist form. Beyond that, just anonymous visit counts (below). This website has no user accounts, no advertising trackers and no cookies at all — which is why you'll never see a cookie banner here.
Anonymous analytics
We record simple, anonymous web analytics so we can understand how many people visit and which pages they read — things like page views, referring sites, country and device type, measured server-side in aggregate. These statistics use no cookies, run no tracking scripts in your browser, and cannot identify you personally. As with any website, our hosting provider (Netlify) also processes standard server logs, such as IP addresses, transiently to run and secure the service.
How we use it
- To let you know when Walk of Treats launches, and to give waitlist members their early access and founding-pack benefits.
- To send the occasional pre-launch update (rarely — we'd rather be walking our dog).
We will never sell your email address, share it with third parties for their marketing, or use it for anything unrelated to Walk of Treats. Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe.
Where it's stored
Waitlist submissions are stored securely by Netlify, the platform that hosts this website, and are accessible only to us. This site is served over HTTPS, so your email is encrypted in transit. You can read Netlify's own privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy.
This site also loads its typefaces from Google Fonts; when your browser fetches a font, Google receives a standard web request (such as your IP address). No other third-party services are used.
Legal basis and retention
We process your email on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the form. We keep waitlist emails until the launch mailing list has served its purpose or you ask us to remove you — whichever comes first.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law (GDPR), you can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what data we hold about you (it will be your email address);
- correct it or delete it entirely;
- withdraw your consent and leave the waitlist.
To exercise any of these, email us at manavsr71@gmail.com and we'll sort it promptly. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
The app itself
When Walk of Treats launches, it will have its own privacy policy covering the app. Our design principle from day one: your dog's health records stay private on your device, and your walks are never shared unless you choose to post them.
Changes
If we update this policy, the new version will appear on this page with a fresh date at the top.
