9 weeks old
waiting for walk time
golden hour, good boyBuilt for one very good dog.
Chief was eight weeks old when we brought him home, and the "app" was nothing more than a notes file and a walk around the block that felt, some evenings, like a chore to tick off rather than the best part of the day.
So we built him one. Just for Chief, at first — something to make our own walks feel worth taking, to turn a hydrant or a new alley into a small discovery instead of just more pavement. A year of real walks later — sniff spots logged, streaks kept (and mourned when they broke), muddy paws at the door every evening — my partner and I looked at what Chief's little app had quietly become, and made a decision together: it was too good to keep to just the three of us.
Walk of Treats is still, at its heart, Chief's app. We just decided every dog — and every human on the other end of the leash — deserved one too.
